The Black Authors Festival permits registered vendors to bring a vendor assistant to support their Marketplace participation during the 2027 Festival. A vendor assistant can help manage the vendor table, assist with customer inquiries, facilitate sales transactions, organize merchandise, and provide coverage during brief breaks, allowing the vendor to focus on engaging attendees and building business connections.
Vendor assistants must be registered and credentialed in advance. Each vendor is responsible for ensuring that their assistant understands the event requirements, arrives on time, and complies with all Festival policies. Assistants must remain with their assigned vendor and may not independently occupy another vendor’s space or assume responsibility for another vendor’s merchandise or transactions.
Vendor assistants are expected to maintain a professional appearance and conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the elevated atmosphere of the Black Authors Festival. Registration and access are subject to Festival approval and applicable credentialing requirements.
Important Information:
Vendor assistants must be registered before the event.
Assistants must comply with all arrival, setup, access, and event day instructions.
Vendor assistants are not permitted to supervise or manage other vendors’ tables.
Each vendor remains fully responsible for their merchandise, transactions, staffing, and overall Marketplace operations.
The Vendor assistant registration fee is separate from the vendor table fee. Please note: Refunds and Transfers are not permitted for any reason at any time.
The Black Authors Festival strongly recommends that vendors secure an assistant to support a smooth, professional, and productive Marketplace experience.
