Paddle Raise for A Father’s Love

During the Honoring Ceremony, guests will be invited to participate in a Paddle Raise, a powerful moment of collective giving. This live fundraising segment allows attendees to lift their paddles in support of A Father’s Love Personal Development and Community Services, the nonprofit arm of the Black Authors Festival.

Every contribution, at any level, directly fuels youth programming, literacy initiatives, mentorship, and personal development workshops that impact young people across our communities.

The Paddle Raise is a chance for us to come together, uplift our mission, and ensure that the work of A Father’s Love continues to grow and transform lives. Your generosity makes the difference.

BAF events, honorees, merchandise, items, schedules, etc. are always subject to change with or without notice. ALL SALES ARE FINAL - THERE ARE NO REFUNDS and ALL TICKETS ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE. guests must show government ID and it must match with their ticket. The use of cameras or other recording equipment is strictly prohibited during the author screenings. BAF reserves the right to search the personal belongings of any patron/guest inside or around the premises. By purchasing a ticket and by entering the premises during the BAF, you agree to be photographed/filmed and grant BAF, its successors-signed parties, carrier stations, subsidiaries, advertising agents, and their affiliated entities, the right to recorded and use your likeness, voice, and name worldwide in perpetuity for any purpose whatsoever without compensation.

No outside alcohol or food may be brought onto the premises. No outside books, magazines, etc. may be brought into the Festival. Please refrain from asking Celebrities, authors, etc. for autographs and photos outside of the autographing sessions.

ALL guests MUST have a prepaid ticket or they will be escorted off the premises. Attire or paraphernalia bearing political and/or racial slurs will not be permitted onto the premises and refunds will not be granted.

Event Media & Promotion Disclaimer

This event is a privately organized function. All media coverage, brand promotion, filming, photography, and interviews conducted for public distribution require prior written approval from the Event Organizers.

Any guest, vendor, or attendee who promotes their company, product, service, or brand verbally, in print, on merchandise, or via video/photography, without being an approved Sponsor, Partner, or Accredited Media will be asked to immediately cease such activity.

Unauthorized promotion, media set-ups, or public announcements made without consent from the Event Organizers may result in removal from the premises, forfeiture of admission, and/or denial of access to future events.

By entering this event, you agree to abide by these terms and respect the official Sponsors, Partners, and Media who have invested in this experience.

We do accommodate guests requiring a wheelchair, however, please be advised that space is limited. While we are pleased to accommodate wheelchair bound guests, the accommodations may not be in alignment with the ticket purchased.
