Black Authors’ Festival Literary Salon is crafted to serve as an exclusive curated enclave to provide a space where authors, intellectuals, artists, book lovers, and readers can engage in meaningful dialogue, share wisdom, exchange literary perspectives, and cultivate community all while showcasing their books. Authors may sell their books and have the opportunity to speak within their crafted out session and talk about why they wrote this book and what they hope the reader will glean from their body of work. Each author may feature up to two literary bodies of work.


Who can submit?:

Anyone who is an author. We encourage new authors to register for the salon as it an amazing way to showcase your body of work and discuss it with other new and seasoned authors and book enthusiasts. Anyone can submit their work. One submission per genre per author. Duplicate submissions will be disqualified and refunds will not be honored. Each submission must be accompanied by the standard fee. Authors must be present at the Salon.

How do I submit?:

Autograph a copy of your book to Darlene and mail to the attention of Black Authors Festival c/o Darlene Williams to 385 Route 109 #1122 West Babylon, NY 11704. Email a professional headshot to: nationalblackauthorsfestival@gmail.com

Rules of Engagement:

Only one submission per genre. For each submission the cost is $650.00. Refunds are not granted. Please follow the vendor guidelines for set up. Also, for author who require an assistant, you must submit an assistant’s fee for $175. All assistants must be registered prior to August 1st.

We are not able to return books, photos, etc. all submissions become the property of Black Authors Festival, so please follow the guidelines prior to submission.

All Salon Authors MUST make their own travel, flight, and hotel accommodations for Sag Harbor 2026.
