$175.00

Vendor Assistant Role & Guidelines

The Vendor Assistant ticket is designed for individuals who will be helping a registered vendor during the Black Authors Festival. A Vendor Assistant is not a replacement for the vendor, but rather an extra set of hands to ensure a smooth and successful day.

Purpose & Duties

The Vendor Assistant is expected to:

  • Arrive at the same time as the vendor (no later than 1:30 PM for setup).

  • Assist with unloading, setup, and teardown of the vendor booth.

  • Help manage customer interactions, process sales, and restock merchandise as needed.

  • Monitor the booth when the vendor steps away (e.g., restroom breaks, networking).

  • Maintain a clean and organized booth area throughout the event.

  • Adhere to all Black Authors Festival rules, guidelines, and professional standards at all times.

Important Rules

  • The Vendor Assistant ticket cannot be used to attend in place of the vendor.

  • If the vendor cannot attend, the vendor assistant feature is non-transferable and non-refundable.

  • Vendor Assistants must comply with all festival policies—including conduct, professionalism, and setup/teardown times.

  • Vendor Assistants may not bring music, loud amplification, or create disruptions.

  • Assistants must remain respectful to all vendors, festival staff, and attendees.

Attire & Professionalism

While corporate attire is not required, Vendor Assistants must be dressed appropriately and professionally—presentable, neat, and suitable for a public event representing a brand or business.

Access & Benefits

The Vendor & Vendor Assistant ticket includes:

  • Event food access (included with ticket).

  • Entry into the After Party.

  • Entry into the Film Screening.
